ABSTRACT

Objective: Looking for the suitable areas of Lamiophlomis rotata based on 3S technology in Sichuan province to provide the basis for reasonable exploitation and protection of the L. rotata resource. Methods: By the ways of field researching and reviewing the related literature on L. rotata, to confirm its habitat characteristics. RS and GIS software was used to extract the environment factors such as climate, soil, topographic features, and community of L. rotata. The spatial overlay analysis on the various environmental factors were carried out to determine the distribution of L. rotata in Sichuan province. The area and combining with GPS was calculated to verify in field. Results: The result indicated that the suitable areas of L. rotata found by using 3S technology were generally consistent with the actual distribution of L. rotata. The suitable areas of L. rotata in Sichuan province were mainly distributed in 20 counties such as Aba country and Litang country. The total area of the suitable areas is about 135 200 hm2, accounting for 0.17% of the district area. Conclusion: Planting and protecting L. rotata in the suitable area will be benefit to the reasonable exploitation and protection of the L. rotata resource; This research method has the characteristics of scientificity and accuracy, which can be extended to other suitable area research of Chinese herbal medicine.

ABSTRACT

Glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptors belong to the class B of G protein coupled-receptors and are expressed in pancreas, lungs,GI tract, kidneys, heart and the central nervous system.During episodes of hyperglycemia activation of GLP-1 receptors located on pancreas islet β-cells facilitates insulin release and increases insulin sensitivity to regulate blood sugar. In the central nervous system, activation of GLP-1 receptors produces neuroprotection and analgesia. In this mini-review,we have summarized our recent work:1) identification of microglial GLP-1 receptor/IL-10/ β-endorphin pathway in the spinal cord;2) discovery of the mechanisms of activation of GLP-1 receptors by which analgesic Lamiophlomis rotata and its effective ingredients iridoid glycosides produce antinociception. Our work highlight that spinal microglial GLP-1 receptor might be a human-demonstrated target for the treatment of chronic pain.

ABSTRACT

To establish a method for simultaneous determination of the contents of sesamoside, menthyl chloride, chlorogenic acid, caffeic acid, 8-O-acetyl-phloridzin methyl ester, forsythiaside B, luteolin, and ergosterol, the LIPLC analysis was performed on a Kinetex XB-C₁₈ (4.6 mm×50 mm,2.6 μm)column with acetonitrile (A)-0.1% phosphoric acid solution (B) as the mobile phase. The flow rate is 1.0 mL min⁻¹. The detection wavelength was 238, 320 and 350 nm and column temperature was 30 ℃. The results showed that the eight components could be completely separated with good linear relationships (r≥0.999 8) in the linear range. The average recoveries were 96.61%-100.4%. The method was simple with strong specificity and high precision. It can be used for the identification and quality evaluation of the Lamiophlomis rotate. The results also showed that there was a correlation between the various components, and the habitat was the main factor affecting the content of the eight components. However, the degradation gradient had no obvious effect on the contents, while the content of sesamoside was significantly decreased after one year of storage.

ABSTRACT

ObjectiveLamiophlomis rotate is the rare perfumes Tibetan medicine. This article aimed to explore the current research of Lamiophlomis rotate on the base of literature.MethodsEstablish database of researching literature on Lamiophlomis rotate in domestic published between 2000 and 2010.Results Altogether 210 articles distributed in 112 kinds of journals were found. These articles involved with 8 areas of clinical research(113 article),pharmacological research(18 article),component analysis(35 article),preparation process (15 article),breed and cultivation of seeds (4 article),new drug testing (3 article),biological characteristics and drug economics.32 articles gained fimancial assistance from fund.Three articles on breed and cultivation of seeds gained financial assistance from fund, occupying 75.00% of such research. Conclusion There were few articles published in core journals, besides relatively scattered distribution of researching institute and journals.Studies on breed and cultivation of seeds should be strengthened.
